Highland View PTO:  There was a meeting, and you won't BELIEVE what happened next!

How do you know turkeys can keep good rhythm?
They're always carrying around drumsticks!

Hello Highland View Families!

First of all:  Thanks to everyone who came out tonight!  We didn't have a big agenda, but what we had was good stuff.

If you weren't there, here's what's good to know:

Highland View PTO fundraiser orders: for those of you with orders, the most important date in the world is next Tuesday 11/22!  From 3:30-6:00 you can pick up your orders in the gym.  See you there!

The All the World event coming up December 9th is AWESOME and you should definitely go!  Or, if you can, definitely consider sharing part of a culture your family is connected to.  In the past, families and students have sung, danced, cooked, recited poetry, displayed artifacts, made crafts, presented information, and more.  The only limit is your imagination!  Contact Sra. Bradley with any questions or for more details at jessica.bradley@greendale.k12.wi.us .

Conferences:
1)  Childcare will be available during conferences on both November 17th and November 21st from 4:00-8:00 PM.  So you don't have to find a babysitter!  Just drop your kids off in the library when you go to conferences, and pick them up when you're done!  (Don't forget that picking them back up part!)  The only requirement is that kids being watched in the library must be out of diapers and able to use the restroom on their own.  We could still use help both nights though, so it would be very appreciated if you stuck around a while before or after your conferences to keep an eye on the kids.  Sign up here!
2)  The conference dinners we offer teachers can still use some stuff.  Sign up here if you can bring anything.  Remember:  the better we feed the teachers, the better the conferences go!  (Just kidding!  But they do 100% appreciate the meal we provide, and it really makes their nights a lot lot lot easier.) Sign up here for November 17th. And here for November 21st.

School Board notes:
1)  Don't forget to fill in the online Community School Priorities Survey linked here.  It's a great way to make your voice heard and help determine the direction our schools will move in the coming years.
2)  There's a joint meeting of the Greendale School Board and Greendale Village Board November 29th at 7:00PM in the Greendale High School library.  It would be AMAZING if you could attend.  Both the Village Board and School Board members can use the reminder that our Greendale Elementary schools are a vital and active part of our community and deserve the same attention and care that our High School and Historical Society get.

Finally:  Dine Out for Highland View Night is TUESDAY NOVEMBER 15th at Panera on Layton (just west of 76th St.)  From 4-8PM, just bring in the flyer that went home from school last week and Panera will donate a portion of your bill to our school.  Take the family out and do good while eating good!  If you can't find the flyer, there's one online here!

Thanks again everyone.  Our school is a very special place and you are a big part of that.
