Black History Month Trivia for February 18th!

Hello again!

Here's today's trivia question for those of you playing along at home:

You may have heard that famous singer Lesley Gore passed away this week.  She was best known for her chart topping song:   It's My Party (And I'll Cry if I Want To).

Lesley wasn't African American BUT that song was the first American #1 top-40 single produced by an African American. Who was the African American producer who scored that first #1 top-40 single?

You have five days to search for the answer, so no multiple choice today!

Your student can turn in his or her correct answer before school starts tomorrow in the box at the office.  Two lucky correct answers will be drawn and those students will receive family passes to the Milwaukee Art Museum!

ANSWER:  Quincy Jones
