Black History Month Trivia for February 25th!

Today’s question is another one that won’t be multiple-choice; you’ll have to figure out the answer on your own.  But I know you can do it!  Highland View students are super smart!  (Plus, if you look around the school, you just might find the answer!

The question is:

Many Highland View students rode the bus to school today.  If you did, you got to sit where you wanted.  50 years ago, African Americans weren’t allowed to sit where they wanted on the bus.

Can you name the woman who refused to give up her seat on a bus, thus leading to a famous bus boycott.

Your student can turn in his or her correct answer before school starts tomorrow in the box at the office.  Two lucky correct answers will be drawn and those students will receive family passes to the Milwaukee Art Museum!

ANSWER:  Rosa Parks
